Partnering for Accessibility: 5N2 Pick-Up Partner FAQ

Pick-Up Partners help bring food closer to the community. By serving as a local collection point, your organization makes it easier for families to access groceries in a familiar and convenient setting.

A pick-up partner provides space where community members can collect food distributed through 5N2 programs.

As a food donation partner in Scarborough, your location becomes a trusted access point that helps reduce travel barriers and makes food support more accessible across neighborhoods.

The first step is to reach out through the Pick-Up Partner page and express your interest.

The 5N2 team will review your space, discuss expectations, and determine whether your location is a good fit for community distribution.

Becoming a partner allows your organization to serve the community in a direct, visible way.

It strengthens local relationships, builds goodwill, and connects your space to a larger effort focused on food access and community support.

Not necessarily. Requirements depend on the type of food being distributed and the structure of the program.

The 5N2 team will explain what’s needed and help determine whether your space can safely support distribution.

Community centers, faith organizations, local businesses, and other accessible spaces may be eligible.

If your location is safe, welcoming, and accessible to residents, it may qualify as a food donation partner in Scarborough.

Delivery frequency depends on program needs and partner capacity.

Schedules are coordinated directly with each location to ensure food is distributed efficiently and responsibly.

There is typically no direct fee to participate. The partnership is built around collaboration and shared commitment to improving food access.

Specific responsibilities and expectations are discussed during the onboarding process.

By working with multiple local sites, 5N2 can distribute food across more neighborhoods without requiring families to travel far.

This decentralized approach helps reach more households and strengthens the overall network of support within Scarborough.
